Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This policy explains how billing, renewals, cancellation, and refunds work for tomapo Premium subscriptions. tomapo currently offers a Free plan at no cost; the terms below govern the paid Premium plan.

Billing and your payment provider

Premium is billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, whichever you choose at signup — through our payment provider, Paddle.com Market Limited. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for these transactions: it collects payment, issues invoices and handles applicable tax, and charges will appear on your bank or card statement under Paddle's name, not tomapo's.

Automatic renewal

Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, matching your plan) until you cancel. If we change Premium's price, the new price applies starting from your next renewal, never to a period you've already paid for, and we'll let you know before it takes effect.

How to cancel

Cancel at any time through your account's subscription management, or by emailing hello@tomapo.co. Cancelling stops future renewals — it doesn't end your access immediately. Your Premium features stay available until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and your plan then reverts to Free.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the EU or Spain, you have the right to withdraw from your Premium subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU and Spain's Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 (TRLGDCU). To exercise it, email hello@tomapo.co within that window and we'll refund you in full.

As with any digital service, if you expressly asked for Premium access to begin immediately and acknowledged that doing so ends your withdrawal right once the service has been fully provided, that acknowledgment applies as stated at checkout. Where it doesn't apply, the 14-day right above stands.

Refunds outside the 14-day window

Beyond the 14-day withdrawal period, we don't generally refund the unused portion of a billing period you've already paid for — cancelling stops future charges rather than reimbursing the current one. Exceptions we'll refund on request: a billing error on our part (for example, a duplicate charge), or a sustained outage that genuinely prevented you from using Premium features for a significant part of a billing period. Email hello@tomapo.co and we'll look into it — decided case by case, in good faith.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it following their standard process. If it continues to fail, your account reverts to the Free plan — your existing policies, summaries, and chat history aren't deleted and stay accessible, as described in our Privacy Policy. The free plan's single-policy limit simply applies again, so you won't be able to add new policies beyond that limit until you resubscribe.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method, typically within a few business days of approval. Processing time after that depends on your bank or card provider.
